The biggest ever international yacht regatta in Denmark
The registration for the 11th X-Yachts Gold Cup in Copenhagen has been tremendous, with the participants almost queuing up to register for this year’s event, which is organized in cooperation with the Royal Danish Yacht Club, with BMW as Official Partner. The venue is the new and perfectly located marina in Tuborg Harbour, only 10 kilometers from central Copenhagen.

Within one week, more than 120 boats had registered, and now 1,200 participants are enthusiastically awaiting the summer and hoping for a good breeze for the start on 16 July.

X-41 International Championship – 33 boats from 16 nations
The first X-41 was launched in January 2007, and nominated as “Best Crossover 2007” in the US – a yacht equipped with mast, boom and wheel in carbon. After only one year 33 boats will be on the start line, ready to participate in the first X-41 International Championship during the X-Yachts Gold Cup, which is 50% of the X-41s sold worldwide.

An International Event with 16 participating nations, never has a One Design Class, with yachts this size, been created within such a short time. The Class expects to be an ISAF Recognized Class by August this year.

Xcruising Line – World Premiere
During the X-Yachts Gold Cup 2008, X-Yachts will present its third model line in the X-Yacths range – the Xcruising line.

The Xc 45 will, as the first yacht in this line, be presented to the international press and will compete in the Family Class. (The Xc 42 is planned for launch six months later).

The international press meets X-Yachts from 19 nations
The X-Yachts Gold Cup 2008 will be the biggest international keel boat event ever held in Denmark, with 120 X-Yachts coming from 19 nations, and with 1,200 participants.

Journalists from the participating countries are expected to report from the four day event, where the X-Yachts owners and many from the X-Yachts team: designers, engineers and builders, will be competing enthusiastically on the race course.
