Denmark (Aarhus) will host X-35 World Championship in 2011

Among four proposed venues, the ISAF recognized X-35 class has chosen to run the 2011 world championship on the Bay of Aarhus in Denmark. This will be the first time the X-35 class will be running a world championship in Denmark. Organizers will be Sailing Aarhus, who also hosted the 2008 ISAF Youth World Championship.

Sailing World Magazine in the US has announced the X-35 One Design as Boat of the Year Winner for 2007 as Best Racer/Cruiser.

X-35 ISAF Recognized Class

Even before the X-35 hit the water, X-Yachts had already set out to establish a strong and tightly controlled One Design Class, and had started work on the Class Rules with the support of ISAF. The reward came during the Annual ISAF Conference in Helsinki, when the X-35 was given Recognized Class Status, only one year after its launch!

AUDI X-35 Cup 2006 - Report and Results

The first international X-35 Cup in history took place in Holland in August, and Nic Bol ensured that the AUDI X-35 Gold Cup stayed within the national border.

The X-35 Class is well established in Holland

More than a year ago, the first X-35s were sold in Holland from the drawings only. The buyers were sailing in the top ranks of IMS: X-99, J-22 and Star, but they were ready to sail a new one design class 35’ sports boat . Before anyone had seen the first boat, eighteen boats had already been sold, the Class Organisation was established and the class sponsor in Holland was found: AUDI.
